Your first games: seven habits
You do not need to be good at aiming to be useful. These habits carry more weight in your first matches.
Seven habits
- 1 · Stay with the group
- Fights are won by teams. Alone you are an easy pick.
- 2 · Be on the objective
- Standing on the point, next to the payload or near the robot is doing your job.
- 3 · Use your abilities
- They recharge. Holding a defensive ability for later usually means you die with it.
- 4 · Know your ultimate
- Read it once. Use it when a fight is about to start or your team needs help.
- 5 · Swap when it is not working
- Getting beaten by the same enemy hero? Try another hero. That is normal.
- 6 · Regroup after a lost fight
- Wait for teammates at spawn or a safe spot and go back together.
- 7 · Mute toxicity, keep playing
- You can mute or block anyone. Do it and move on.
What to ignore for now
Ignore tier lists, sensitivity math and pro strategies. Learn one hero, a second one, and how the objective works. Everything else comes naturally.
