SETTINGS
Last updated September 2026Best console settings
There is no perfect sensitivity. There is a comfortable one. Start from a preset and adjust slowly.
What each option means
- Sensitivity (horizontal and vertical)
- How far your view moves when you push the stick. Higher is faster.
- Aim assist strength
- How much the game helps pull your crosshair to targets. Stronger helps beginners most.
- Aim assist window
- How close your crosshair needs to be to a target before help starts. A bigger window helps sooner.
- Aim smoothing
- Makes movement smoother. Can add a little delay on close targets.
- Aim ease-in
- Changes how quickly your aim ramps up. Leave alone until you know you want it.
- Deadzone
- The small area of the stick that does nothing. Set as low as you can without drift.
- Crosshair
- Choose one that is clear against every map.
DidIThrow advice
Change one setting at a time and keep a note. If your aim gets worse, undo the last change.
Option names and ranges vary slightly by platform and update. Blizzard adjusts aim assist between seasons.
